Schoolhouse Theater Arts, Inc. offers summer camps for all ages!
The youngest group is the STAGE EXPRESS. If your child is potty trained and between the ages of 3.5 and 6, then this is the group for them. In this one-week, full-day program, students learn to become comfortable with their first experience on a stage. Camps run from 9am-3pm.
PRIMARY camps are offered for students between 4 and 8 years old. These camps run from 9am-3pm for three weeks. On the last day of camp, students will be performing a short musical production for parents, family, and friends. The camp exposes students to basic theater skills while incorporating lots of other fun activities!
Our TWEEN camp is designed for students between 8 and 13 years old. The camp runs from 9:15-3:15 for three weeks. Campers will be exposed to a wide variety of drama skills as they work to produce a junior version of a Broadway musical. Two performances of the show are held on the final Thursday and Friday of camp.
TEEN camps offer more advanced study of theater along with the performance of a full-length Broadway musical. These camps run for three weeks from 9:15-3:15.
While S.T.A. Summer Camps differ in many ways, all of our camps are appropriate for students at both beginner and intermediate levels of theatrical knowledge.
To sign up for S.T.A. Summer Camp, contact Howard County Recreations and Parks at 410-313-PARK (7275) or visit their registration website and search for "Schoolhouse."
